Indian hill station of Kalimpong, in Darjeeling District of West Bengal.
In rural Kalimpong, 80 Kms, away and reached by a wilderness trail, is the
isolated but charming Samthar Plateau, populated by the Lepchas - also
called the vanishing tribe..
Facilities : The Farm House offers just two deluxe guest rooms in
the original house, a cottage suite of two more guest rooms and two ethnic
huts. All rooms have a unique, charming ambiance. Attached modern toilets,
have been added. There is an ethnic lounge and elegant dining facilities.
The kitchen serves home cooked inter active meals researched from Indian,
Western, Nepali, Sikkimese and tibetan recipes - to give you the flavour
of the Himalayan region. Meals are served by ethnic staff, in romantic
lamplit atmosphere. Breath-taking sunrise and sunset views of the Panorama
of snowpeaks ranging over 8000 Meters in elevation, are revealed from the
top of the garden.
